Hail the Heaven Born Prince of Peace

Say what you will about the commercialism of Christmas, its the only time of year I can hear the GOSPEL preached in a public restaurant:) We were out to eat the other day and Carrie Underwood's version of Hark the Herald Angels Sing came on. There I was in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of Christmas shoppers and these beautiful words were ringing out over the sound system:

Hail the heav'n born Prince of Peace,
Hail the Son of Righteousness,
Light and Life to all He brings,
Ris'n with healing in His wings,
Mild He lays His glory by,
Born that men no more may die,
Born to free the sons of Earth,
Born to give them second birth,
Hark the herald angels sing,
GLORY TO THE NEWBORN KING!!!!

Awesome words about the GOOD NEWS of the birth of our savior, AMEN!!

Here is the version I heard...enjoy:-)

  1. I agree that it can be a blessing this time of year to hear Christian lyrics to songs in otherwise secular stores, although I notice that the "bland" Christmas songs like "jingle bells" still get a lot of circulation.
